Deepening Your Practice: Working with the Unfolding Self
A new 9-month programme for developing as a coach, for graduates of the PCC, beginning May 2026
We are delighted to announce that 2026 will see the launch of a new 9-month advanced coach development programme for graduates of the Professional Coaching Course. It will be an opportunity to take everything you've learned on the PCC and deepen it.
Taking place over three intensive sessions between May 2026 and February 2027, accompanied by ongoing streams of coaching practice, one-to-one coaching with our faculty, group sessions, supervision and peer practice, this new programme provides sustained, deep support for you to step deeper into your skilfulness as an integral development coach, developing your sensitivity, creativity, and responsiveness.
We will draw throughout on the Integral Development Coaching method alongside Internal Family Systems. IFS proposes we're constituted as a system of inner parts in ongoing relationship with one another and the world, as well as an enduring Essential Self — an inherent wholeness that can attend to all this complexity in skilful ways.
The central question animating this programme is how to respond skilfully and compassionately, in real time, to what arises in the moment — in your client, in you, and in the space between you. You'll develop your capacity to pay close attention to your clients as you work with them, to notice and work kindly with protective patterns that may stand in the way of their unfolding, to work with the different voices within them that may be in conflict or want contradictory things, to track your own reactions and use them skilfully, and to sense what's needed developmentally across all four human domains. Drawing on IFS alongside Focusing, inquiry, process work and somatic sensing, you'll expand your ability to work with the rich complexity of human experience as it unfolds.
The programme will be led by Justin Wise, Neena Sims and Lizzie Winn, who have been developing this body of work for the past five years.
Learning Themes and Intentions
Track 1 - Your Own Development
Work with your own current and deeper narratives and developmental practices with support of our faculty and in community, bringing your own developmental intentions and aspirations into the programme
Practices, reading and self reflection to deepen your contact with your presence, aliveness and wholeness
Learn to respond with kindness to what is stuck, fearful, longing or exiled in you
Develop a nervous system confident enough to meet what arises, in yourself and in your coaching clients
A programme of reading and reflecting to support your own unfolding development during the programme and beyond
Track 2 - Working with Clients
Develop the sensitivity and skill to respond in the moment to the process of learning, discovery, undoing and becoming that is taking place in your coaching clients
Know when and how to bring parts and process work into a developmental programme
Learn to work skilfully with the inner system of parts (managers, protectors, exiles) and support your clients in drawing increasingly on the grounded presence that is their essential self
Learn to recognise and respond compassionately to complexity as it unfolds in real time
Practice focusing, somatic attunement, internal family systems work and in-the-moment inquiry with clients
Integrate this work with the integral development methodology you learned on the PCC
Learn multiple ways of sensing into wholeness, both with yourself and with others
