Free Coaching as a Guest Client, with a coach who is studying on our Professional Coaching Course

Timing: Two sessions on a single day, 10.00-12.30 & 14.00-16.30 UK Time.
Where: Online via Zoom

The Thirdspace Professional Coaching course is a year-long programme that supports coaches who want to work wisely, compassionately and holistically in support of people’s lasting development. Just over half-way into the programme, when they have had a lot of opportunity to develop their own ability to coach, we invite guest coaching clients in for a day event. It’s an opportunity for the coaches to gather useful insights about their own way of working with people. And it’s a wonderful way for our guests to receive some coaching from someone who is dedicated to supporting people.

We invite you to join us for this special day.

During the day you will have an opportunity to:

  • Receive support in developing a new competence, getting unstuck in some aspect of your life, or opening a new possibility for yourself. The topic for the coaching is yours to choose. Topics in the past have included career direction, relationship issues inside or outside work, professional development, self-image, or learning a new skill.

  • Explore coaching as a potential path for yourself. Being a guest client is an excellent way to learn if an integral approach to coaching is something you would like (and feel called) to develop.

  • Support the ongoing development of our student coaches, by giving us feedback on your experience. The feedback helps with our own work in guiding and supporting each person as they continue to step into the practice of being a coach.

The day is available at no charge and will take place online using Zoom. Because this is an important part of the programme, we are looking for people who:

  • Have a genuine interest in being coached

  • Are open to revealing part of themselves and hearing a new perspective

  • Can commit to definitely attending the day

  • Can commit to showing up on time and be with us for the whole day

  • Have access to a laptop or desktop computer, or tablet device, with reliable internet and a quiet and private space from which they can participate in the day.

How the day will work:

  • You receive coaching at no charge from a student in our Professional Coaching Course. The student is learning our methodology and practicing it with you. Our students tend to be people with significant work and life experience. In some cases, coaching is their second or even third career.

  • You select the coaching topic and we match you with a student who will coach you. We ask you to tell us about your topic before we connect you with a coach so that we can make the best match. In 99% of the cases, the topics that guest clients pick are within the range of our coaches.

  • You’ll need to be available to participate from 10am-12.30pm UK, and then again for the second part from 2pm-4.30pm UK. The timing of the days goes like this:

10am-12.30pm We will all meet together on Zoom for an orientation to the day. Following this we will match you with your coach for your first conversation, where you describe your coaching topic, they ask questions, and they get to know you.

12.30pm-2pm You’ll have some time to yourself while your coach reflects and designs a response specifically for you.

2pm-4.30pm A second conversation with your coach, in which they will offer you new ways of observing, understanding and taking action to address your situation. Immediately after your second conversation with your coach, one of the course faculty will ask you to give some feedback on your experience of being coached, for us to share later with your coach.

  • We ask you to make a firm commitment to being there since your participation is vital to the success of the day.

If you have any questions, please do get in touch.
